The new US Government Land Port of Entry in Calais, built for the General Services Administration, has been awarded LEED Gold designation in recognition of its sustainable energy features. SMRT provided building commissioning and LEED consulting services. SMRT Receives SMPS AwardSMRT recently won a Beacon Award from the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), Maine Chapter, for the company's 125th anniversary promotional campaign. During 2009, SMRT sponsored a variety of community events celebrating its founding and developed an integrated marketing campaign centered on the anniversary. SMRT's Lafayette Cancer Care Center took the Best in Healthcare Design Award at the IIDA New England Interior Design Awards in Boston. Competing nominees included projects affiliated with Brigham & Women's / Mass General, Dartmouth - Hitchcock Medical Center, Dana Farber / Brigham & Women's and others. Ribbon Cutting held for the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 27 at Westover Air Reserve Base
Military and local government officials gathered recently to cut the ribbon on a new building to house Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 27 at Westover Air Reserve Base. SMRT worked successfully to provide a facility to support the mission of NMCB 27 to provide quality, timely construction support globally to the U.S. Armed Forces, principally the United States Marine Corps. SMRT Selected for Massachusetts Army National Guard FacilitiesSMRT has been selected by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Designer Selection Board for a "House Doctor" contract to provide design and engineering services for Army National Guard facilities throughout the state. SMRT will be providing studies and final designs for the renovation, alteration, modernization and additions to Armories and other properties. St. Lawrence County Jail Designated High Performance Building by NYSERDA
