GE's New York Facility Is a Model of Green Manufacturing Hydronic / Radiant Underslab Heating and Other Advanced Technologies Contribute to Efficiencies SMRT's Engineering Challenge and Success: A LEED Gold Cleanroom Sustainable Design Elements Include Passive and Active Solar Panels

GE Healthcare's clean manufacturing facility in New York was awarded an Honorable Mention in the commercial category of Environmental Design + Construction's annual Excellence in Design Awards. GE Healthcare was the only manufacturing/industrial entry to be recognized in the highly competitive national design competition, which received approximately 400 entries. SMRT designed and engineered the 230,000 square foot clean manufacturing LEED Gold facility, which manufactures the latest digital x-ray equipment.
