Martin's Point Health Care recently opened the doors of its new, $17 million, state-of-the-art Portland Health Care Center. At one of the first facilities in the state built around a model known as a patient-centered medical home, patients receive their care from a consistent and dedicated team of doctors, nurses and specialists. The medical teams work within pods, while specialists located on campus provide day surgery, physical therapy and radiology. Patient-centered medical homes emphasize wellness and patient education.
