Cromwell Hall, Naval Submarine Base (SUBASE) Case Study

Designed for Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Cromwell Hall supports the Navy’s efforts to improve the agility and readiness of its submarine force through a modernized curriculum and training methodologies. SMRT designed the learning center headquarters to LEED Silver standards, engineering a closed-loop geothermal heating and cooling system with water-to-air and water-to-water heat pumps. The secure facility is constructed to Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Standards.
