Greene County Jail and Sheriff’s Office Case Study

This 96-bed direct supervision facility replaces an existing outmoded linear-style jail, eliminating the County’s need to board out inmates. In addition to the jail program, a full Sheriff’s office is included in the project, including road patrol barracks, Sheriff’s administration areas, emergency services and a backup dispatch center for the region.  The facility meets strict Wicks Law mandates and American Correctional Association (ACA) standards. Building performance exceeds New York State NYSERDA certification standards, yielding a substantial energy incentive payment for the County.
