Exeter Hospital – Plaistow Regional Health Center

This project provides Exeter Hospital and Core Physicians the opportunity to consolidate many off-campus outpatient services already located in Plaistow, NH. It also offers growth opportunities within their Regional Healthcare Center Model. The facility houses Family Medicine, permanent and rotating specialties such as Orthopedics, adult and pediatric Rehab/PT/OT, Imaging (X-Ray, MRI, and Mammography), Lab/Phlebotomy and future space for Pediatrics, expanded specialties and potential for procedure space. The site is also permitted for a second building which could be an ASC.

SMRT worked with Exeter Hospital and Core Physicians leadership and clinical staff to define the requirements of the new building to meet the needs of the practices and align with contemporary healthcare trends and best practices. Building on a collaborative care model, the plan responds to the demands of an evolving healthcare system.

The MOB brings together many different practices with distinct needs but maintains flexibility through a design that is based on a standardization model that SMRT developed with Exeter Hospital. All patient treatment spaces are based on a 120 square-foot module to allow for future flexibility. Provider offices and clinical work areas have also been standardized throughout the building.
