Plymouth State University Morgridge Strength & Performance Lab
What was once an old field house is now a state-of-the-art, 17,500 square-foot training facility at Plymouth State University, the largest of its kind in NCAA Division III athletics.
The facility features 24 weight racks and platform lifting stations, treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, weight training machines, and a 45-yard strip of artificial turf for rehabilitation and speed training.
Every one of the university’s 25 varsity sports teams can utilize the facility, and the space can now accommodate training for multiple teams inside at once.
In addition to new equipment, the facility also features new and energy-efficient electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Air conditioning was also introduced to help with thermal comfort.
