As a certified Passive House architect with over 13 years of experience, Brad is deeply committed to carbon reduction and environmentally conscious design. As the firm’s Sustainability Leader, he has been instrumental in developing our sustainability practice, including energy and whole-life carbon modeling, providing clients with essential data for responsible and cost-saving decisions.
Rebecca Casey, AIA, WELL AP
Principal, Senior Architect
A WELL-accredited architect, Becca’s 25-year career has focused on healthcare planning and design. From campus master plans to multi-phase renovations, her impressive experience includes everything from new hospitals to acute care facilities. Committed to integrating research-supported concepts into design, Becca continuously incorporates features proven to reduce stress in environments.

Phil is a talented architect with an innate ability to recognize the potential of any given site or space. A conceptual thinker, Phil expertly translates complex challenges into exceptional project outcomes. With over 14 years of experience, Phil has contributed to numerous award-winning architectural projects across New England.

Associate Principal, Mechanical Discipline Lead, Senior Mechanical Engineer
As the leader of SMRT’s mechanical engineering department, Kerry builds cohesion across multiple disciplines. With over 17 years of experience in fire protection and mechanical engineering design, Kerry leads numerous client projects in education, government, healthcare, advanced technologies, and industrial sectors.
Melissa Flynn, PE
Associate Principal, Civil Engineer
Melissa has over 15 years of design experience as a civil engineer, specializing in stormwater management and athletic facilities. From concept design to permitting to construction administration, Melissa has established her practice by applying a systematic, problem-solving approach to projects across SMRT’s markets.
Jean Gabriel, PHR, SHRM-CP
Associate Principal, Director of Human Resources
With over 17 years of experience managing employee relations, recruitment, and staff development, Jean has developed a knack for creating workplace culture and guiding value development. At SMRT, she ensures equal opportunity for all employees, oversees performance management, and steers employee benefits.

Associate Principal, Senior Architect
Jessica has over 25 years of experience managing, planning, and designing complex projects. From initial programming to overseeing comprehensive construction administration, Jessica delivers high-quality work in all project phases. Her expertise in project management and building strong client relationships make her a valuable asset to project teams.
Stephen Landry
Associate Principal, Director of Information Technology
Steve is an information technology veteran with over 40 years of experience. Always looking for new and innovative IT solutions, he ensures access for SMRT’s 140-plus users across three states, manages data operations, and oversees over 50 servers. Steve also heads hardware infrastructure, including inter-office and remote fiber connectivity, to ensure business continuity.

Mike has over 17 years of experience in designing and installing electrical systems. His journey began as an electrical apprentice, providing him with firsthand knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional value to clients. Whether developing new solutions or optimizing existing ones, Mike’s expertise is unparalleled.

Associate Principal, Architectural Discipline Leader
Mark has over 16 years of experience designing and managing complex projects. A natural leader, Mark excels at overseeing large-scale teams to ensure accuracy and clear communication. Recently, Mark served as the project architect for the University of New England’s Harold and Bibby Alfond Center for Health Sciences.
