An Announcement About COVID-19
SMRT is working to ensure the health of our employees, clients, colleagues and partners as we navigate the challenge of COVID-19. We are focusing on providing ongoing business continuity to the greatest extent possible while at the same time making necessary changes to the way we conduct our work. Our offices remain open but we have taken the following steps:
- All SMRT employees have been asked to work from home. SMRT is providing IT support to enable employees to work from home effectively.
- We have suspended all travel between our offices.
- We have moved to virtual meetings using Lifesize, Teams and various other systems.
- We will travel to job sites and do field work on a limited basis only after careful consideration and consult with our client/owner/contractor partners.
The current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented and demands constant monitoring and adjustment of plans and policies. SMRT’s board of directors is meeting at 48 hour intervals or more frequently as necessary to monitor the situation. We will continue to communicate any updates as they unfold.
