Flyleaf Portable Reading Room Wins Unbuilt Honor Award from Boston Society of Architects

We are incredibly honored and excited to announce that we have been awarded a 2020 BSA Honor Award for the Flyleaf Portable Reading Room in the Unbuilt Architecture and Design category. Over one year ago, SMRT entered Archhive Books’ Portable Reading Room competition, an international design challenge that tasked its participants with creating a modular book-sharing structure. To learn more about the Flyleaf design and inspiration, please read our blog by Architectural Designer, Ashley LePre, here: Flyleaf—A Modular Ode to the Paper Book.

This is not the first accolade this stunning space has been awarded. In addition to the 2020 BSA Design Award, Flyleaf has also won Merit Awards in the Unbuilt category for both the 2020 AIA Eastern New York Design Award, and the 2020 AIA Maine Design Award.
