Ken Costello

Ken leads SMRT’s site design team, guided by over 31 years of experience providing landscape architecture services on various projects, including 27 years working on site design and planning. He has expertise in the design of sports and athletic facilities, campus landscape improvements, and master planning. He also provides design and construction administration on numerous projects throughout the northeast.

Since joining SMRT in 2013, Ken has integrated the firm’s multi-state site design team in practice and geography. He excels at collaborating across disciplines from project kickoff to completion. Before the shovel meets the ground on a new build, Ken guides the design by analyzing the land for optimal user experience and client maintenance. He is also an expert in site and earthwork redevelopment projects, accessibility, code requirements, and AT/FP standards.
