Nick is the leader of SMRT’s government and civic practice. He brings more than 20 years of experience designing large-scale government and institutional facilities. His extensive background includes leading complex projects for municipalities, state agencies, military installations, and federal campuses across the East Coast.

Nick specializes in resilient infrastructure design, energy security, and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and operational performance. He is passionate about encouraging a collaborative, multidisciplinary design process and has leveraged that passion into a proven track record leading numerous award-winning design-build projects. He works closely with agencies and stakeholders to deliver mission-critical facilities that meet evolving demands. His expertise in program management, operational leadership, and civil engineering drives his focus on strategic growth and operational excellence.

Nick’s commitment to sustainability is evident, with over a dozen projects achieving LEED Gold or Silver certifications, reflecting his dedication to creating environmentally sustainable sites.
