Beth Israel Lahey Health Lifestyle Health Center

Beth Israel Lahey Health Lifestyle Health Center

The goal for the new Lifestyle Health Center was to create a supportive and educational environment for individuals on their weight loss journey. The former Sears store has been transformed into a calming, spa-like atmosphere designed to blend retail and educational spaces with a medical practice. The facility provides hands-on learning opportunities to assist patients in forming healthy habits.

The wellness and consultation spaces center around a warm and inviting demonstration kitchen. In this teaching space, patients and staff can collaborate on meal preparation and product selection. The check-in area integrates nutritional food selections and flows into adjacent program areas. New branding and signage incorporated throughout the space promotes health and wellness.

The center’s exterior is inspired by Japanese tea houses and features natural materials, promoting a connection to nature. In the evening, the center glows like a lantern, providing a welcoming experience for visitors.

The use of natural materials, combined with ample natural light and an outdoor garden and patio area, creates a relaxed atmosphere that generates positive experiences for patients and staff.
