Plymouth State University Morgridge Strength & Performance Lab

SMRT collaborated closely with Plymouth State University Athletics to transform their old field house into a state-of-the-art athletic training facility, spanning 17,500 square feet, the largest of its kind for NCAA Division III athletics.

This cutting-edge facility features 24 weight racks and platform lifting stations, treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, weight training machines, and a 45-yard strip of artificial turf for rehabilitation and speed training. All 25 varsity sports teams at the university can use the facility, and it can now accommodate training for multiple teams simultaneously.

In addition to new equipment, the facility also features new and energy-efficient electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. SMRT improved thermal comfort by adding air conditioning to the building.
