Edgewood LifeCare Community – The Woodlands Inn at Edgewood
The Woodlands Inn provides the Edgewood LifeCare Community with enhanced living and memory-supported households for elderly residents. The facility was designed around the “small house” model of care, which benefits residents and their families by deinstitutionalizing long-term care. The warm, home-like environment enables a meaningful connection to the community and empowers residents to maintain their highest level of independence, autonomy, and sense of purpose.
Each of Woodland’s four households contains a 10-bed home centered around community spaces and includes a central hearth, an open kitchen and dining area, a courtyard, and gardens. The kitchen is designed to engage residents in meal preparation, and common living spaces enable a variety of engaging activities.
